Diy toy animal jars!
1. Spray paint lid and toy
2. Super glue toy to the lid
Too easy! I also found that nail polish worked well and could be used for drips on the side of the jar.
I filled my jars with home made: cookies, bath salts, moisturiser and candles.
Send us pictures of your diy jars and let us know what you used them for..
Superhero Party was a blast! We made the props ourselves. I had superhero music throughout the day such as ‘Per Qualche Dollaro In Piu - Ennio Morricone’. What a kick ass song!
The whole house was randomly draped in bats and superhero cool stuff.
Positive feedback is always a great thing; some of the children said it was the best party they had been too. My now 5yr old son said he loved it! Yea Me!
I think the theme was a real winner. My advice in Children’s Party Planning: Stick with a theme, Give yourself 3 weeks for creativity, Stay calm, and Do It Yourself
Another DIY b’day present I made. Here is the steps I went through to making some super awesome bunting flags for Jean’s super hero party..
1. Download some comic strips from the net & print them out.
I printed mine A4 however I think A5 would be practical as you can then laminate two at a time.
You could also use pages out of a comic book if you can get your hands on one.
2. Make a triangle stencil and cut out about 10 pages. (20 if you want them double sided)
3. Laminate the triangle cut outs (optional)
4. Using fabric glue to stick the pieces onto a long piece of ribbon. If you prefer you could sew the ribbon on.
5. Voila! You have yourself some custom bunting flags to brighten up any kids room :)
Living life on empty pockets makes it difficult when birthdays come around, this is why I try to give out hand made gifts. Yeah, it takes more time but they are always so much more meaningful.
I have been making my own moisturizer for a while now due to my kids eczema condition, & now the concoction Ive created has turned into an addictive potion that my mates are constantly nagging to make more of.
So for this birthday gift I have made a jar of skin cream with a little gift tag to make it that little bit more special!
Packaging: I used an old Moccona coffee jar (being addicted to coffee has its benefits!). Dont ask me where the name and motto came from, just popped into my head on the day ;)
Ingredients: I shoved all the oils into a bowl then blended the crap out of em. Its taken me quite some time to get the right ratios but if you want to start a basic moisturizer for yourself check out youtube and do some experimenting.
The ingredients I use are- Coconut oil, Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Vitamin E, Baobab, Avocado oil and Rose hip oil. **I am happy to sell anyone a jar online, but if you are going to make your own do a lil research first on the oils and quantities to be used.
Currently I am living in the traquil dandenong ranges with my son and we have the most beautiful home; however when he goes to school next year I have decided to relocate to the west side, yarraville seddon area as it is closer to my family and friends etc. but before I leave, Paradise Valley (Clematis) I have been aske d by my son to plan his 5th b’day superhero style, ‘oh of course what else would a 5 yr boy kid want?’
so here we go. creatively thinking to create something creatively awesome, ill put some pics up of the party process and some cool things we’ve come up with. feel free to steal some ideas..
